PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine and a method for removing a molded article which lessen the amount of consumption of energy without lowering the suction responsiveness of the molded article and the removal efficiency thereof, since a vacuum pressure is generated by making effective use of an exhaust of an air cylinder. SOLUTION: The machine for removal of the molded article is equipped with the air cylinder 13 for a balancer for canceling, by balancing, an elevation section including a suction device on the occasion when the suction device equipped with a suction pad 11 supplied with the vacuum pressure and sucking up the molded article is lowered and raised by an elevation driving device. The machine is so constituted that the exhaust released by the air cylinder 13 in the lowering is utilized for generation of the vacuum pressure supplied to the suction pad 11.
