<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize optimum first printout time regardless of the analysis time of image information in the controller part of an image forming device and to lower the degradation speed of consumables such as a drum. <P>SOLUTION: Information relating to the time required for preprocessing in the controller part is reported to an engine control part, the reported time information and the time required for prescribed preprocessing in the engine control part are compared in the engine control part and the start timing of the preprocessing in the engine control part is controlled on the basis of a compared result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
