PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism for a bobbin which easily locks the rotation of the bobbin and releases the lock with no restrictions on the lock position. SOLUTION: A thread 3 is led outside through a thread delivery port of a case from the bobbin rotatably enclosed in a bobbin storage part formed in the case. A handle 4 is mounted to an end plate 22 of the bobbin exposed outside from an opening part formed in a ring lid 14 of the case, movably in a circle around the axis of a shaft 41 approximately orthogonal to the rotation axis O of the bobbin, through the shaft 41. When one end of the handle 4 is brought down into a prescribed position, a locking notch and protrusion 42d formed at a locking part 42c at the other end are ruggedly engaged with a locking notch and protrusion 144 circumferentially provided at the opening part.
