PURPOSE: An ultra wide band signal communication system supporting multi-service and a method therefor are provided to differentially divide a main frame by service categories, and assign category frame time according to a band width of a service channel, thereby preventing a waste of time resources and preventing deterioration of the service quality. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pulse position modulators(610) execute pulse position modulation of transmission data. A plurality of category framers(620) make the pulse position modulated data into category frames different according to transfer rate. A pulse generator generates reference pulse to the framed data. A transmitter(630) outputs the data in an ultra wide band signal. A receiver receives the ultra wide band signal. A correlation receiver(710) detects a signal and identifies a category according to the transfer rate by executing correlation between the ultra wide band signal and a plurality of signals. A pulse position detector(720) detects a pulse position of the detected signal in a category frame. A decoder(730) decodes the signal of which the pulse position is detected to output the signal as data.
