PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit noise components from received audio signals and adjust the output sound level of only voice components of the received audio signals. SOLUTION: The telephone has a sound discriminator 102 which detects/removes noise components of received audio signals from a line data transmission controller 101 to extract only voices produced by a communication party according to a trigger signal from a sound codec unit 104. A sound volume adjuster 103 compares the sound level of the received audio signals of only the produced voices extracted by the discriminator 102 with a preset reference value, and adjusts the output sound level of the received audio signals of only the produced voices according to the result thereof.
