<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and to reduce the cost of a drive circuit for driving a plurality of switched reluctance motors. <P>SOLUTION: The drive circuit of the switched reluctance motor includes two SR motors having phase coils connected in series and connected in parallel. Coil rows L1, L2 are respectively connected at both ends to the nodes of high side transistors Q1, Q4. Low side transistors Q5, Q8, are connected at the nodes of the coils of the high side coil row to the high side transistors Q2, Q3, are connected at the nodes of the coils of the low side coil row to the low side transistors Q6, Q7, and are connected between the nodes via middle transistors Q9, Q10. Thus, the respective phase coils can be arbitrarily selectively energized by using the high side switching element, the low side switching element, and the third switching element. Since the number of power semiconductor elements can be reduced, the compaction and the cost reduction of a driver can be promoted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
