PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label applying device in which a label suction segment does not strike against either a commodity or a pushing device when the label suction segment returns even if the label suction segment oscillates when the label is applied and adhered to the commodity. SOLUTION: This label applying and adhering device C is operated so that a label suction segment C1 for sucking, holding a label, and moving up and down pushes a label against a commodity being moved.
