PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the most suitable gamma adjustment without being affected by the contrast ratio between a plurality of liquid crystal panels. SOLUTION: When the measured value of a VT characteristic of each liquid crystal panel is inputted from an input part, a microcomputer compares contrast values of the respective liquid crystal panel and selects one of a plurality of pieces of gamma correction data previously provided in a table according to the comparison result.
