<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector with a slider which is simple in structure, and compact, and furthermore, easy in insertion and ejection of the card to the connector. <P>SOLUTION: The card connector 1 with the slider comprises a housing 2 having a plurality of contacts 3, a cover 4 covering the housing, a slider 5 that is slidably supported by the housing, a cam mechanism that is installed at the housing, the cover and the slider, and that controls locking and unlocking of the slider, and a shutter 6 or the like for preventing pull-out of the card from the slider. The shutter is rotatably fitted to the slider by a hinge 6b.
