The method involves arranging the conductors to be welded between the surfaces of a counter electrode and the surface of a sonotrode of an ultrasonic welding device. The external insulation (20) of one or more flat cables (10) is removed at least in one area by radiation and/or melted using the sonotrode set into ultrasonic oscillation and/or displaced and then the conductors (12,14,16,18) are welded in point- or line-wise manner.
