<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain uniform color purity, reproduce satisfactory color in a color filter or pixels of a liquid crystal display using the color filter, and easily manufacture the color filter with little restriction . <P>SOLUTION: This color filter 1 colors first light L1 presenting a unidirectional light path and second light L2 presenting a bidirectional light path for every pixel 10. The color filter 1 has a first coloring part 10t coloring the first light L1 and a second coloring part 10r coloring the second light L2. The first coloring part 10t is thicker than the second coloring part 10r.
