Stacked fuel cell and method for its maintenance

The cell has a set of cell films (11), each cell film comprising a solid polymer electrolyte film sandwiched between electrode films. A set of partition plates are interposed with predetermined spacing in a direction of stacking. The plate has a piercing portion, through which a band-shaped fastener (19) is passed in a direction of stacking. A gas channel of the cell formed in a plate surface is in contact with the electrode film. An independent claim is also included for a method for maintenance of the stacked fuel cell.
