A plastic container (1) holds a quantity of liquid, powder or granular substance. The container has a neck and a cylinder (6) which translates upwards into a folding-bellows section (80) which defines a variable volume discharge chamber (8) to a discharge passage and outlet. The container has a cap (3) that both rotates on the body of the container and may slide axially back and forth. The cap is linked to and covers a piston (4) which defines and annular feed chamber. Pump action of the cap drives the charge from the reservoir (10) through the discharge chamber (8). Following each pump cycle the discharge room is compressed, expelling the charge.
