PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling pump capable of improving cooling efficiency. SOLUTION: In a pump chamber 5 formed in a casing 2, a shaft 7 is disposed to be rotatable through a shaft 7. In both axial direction side surfaces 6a and 6b of the impeller 6, a first and a second pump grooves 13 and 16 are formed. Of the pump grooves 13 and 16, the first pump groove 13 on the side of a second casing 4 is extended in a diametric direction to be disposed radially. A rotation center O2 of the impeller 6 is diametrically deflected to a center O1 of the casing 2 as seen in the axial direction. A liquid passage can thus be secured close to the center O1 of the casing 2. In a case where a heat generating member as a subject to be cooled is put to be in contact with a center part of an outer surface of the second casing 4, the heat generating member and the liquid passage are disposed to be close to each other. The heat generating member can be efficiently cooled by liquid of the cooling pump 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
