<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lightweight weather strip for an automobile, having high sealability. <P>SOLUTION: In this weather strip for the automobile, at least a part of which is composed of rubber foam prepared by dispersing polyolefin resin of 5-25 pts.wt into EPDM rubber of 100 pts.wt, the polyolefin resin deformed approximately in the disc shape by foaming along a circumferential wall of bubbles 21 of the rubber foam 20 is dispersed in a state of surrounding the bubbles 21, the rubber foam 20 is used on at least a deformed part of the weather strip, when the weather strip is brought into contact with a mating member or the weather strip is mounted on a door and the like.
