PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of a biodegradable resin having stable dispersability and usable e.g. for the coating of a textile product and paper product, etc., to improve the resin film properties such as water resistance, oil resistance, gas-tightness, gloss and hot-bonding property of the textile product and paper product without lowering the biodegradability of the textile product and paper product. SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion of the biodegradable resin contains a glycerol ester plasticizer in an aqueous dispersion of a biodegradable aliphatic polyester resin. The glycerol ester plasticizer is preferably an acetylated monoglyceride. The dispersing agent preferably contains a polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of≥95.0 mol%.
