SIDE BY SIDE TYPE REFRIGERATOR HAVING TEMPERATURE CONVERSION CHAMBER

PURPOSE: A side by side type refrigerator having a temperature conversion chamber is provided to realize a temperature conversion chamber converting a temperature band appropriate for foods to be stored inside. CONSTITUTION: A casing is arranged in a refrigerator compartment(31) to form a temperature conversion chamber(52), being formed in box shape and having an open front surface and a cold air inlet to be communicated with a freezing chamber. A drawer(53) is contained in the casing to be drawn. A heater is arranged to increase an inner temperature of the casing. A temperature detecting sensor(57) detects the inner temperature of the casing. A damper opens and shuts the cold air inlet. A mode selecting part selects one of storage modes including a low temperature storage mode maintaining a temperature of the temperature conversion chamber higher than the temperature of the freezing chamber, and lower than the temperature of the refrigerator compartment, and a high temperature storage mode maintaining the temperature of the temperature conversion chamber higher than the temperature of the refrigerator compartment. A control unit controls the damper and the heater based on the detection result of the temperature detecting sensor.
