PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuse, in an outer tube of which, an arc-extinguishing material is filled with a certain density without using adhesive for solidifying the arc-extinguishing material filled in the outer tube. SOLUTION: A fusible body (3) is arranged in an inside cavity (2) formed by the outer tube (1) of the fuse, and the inside cavity (2) is filled with the arc-extinguishing material (4), and a pair of cap electrodes (5) are mounted at both ends of the outer tube (1). A pressurizing piece (6) is arranged between the arc-extinguishing material (4) and the cap electrode (5). The pressurizing piece (6) presses the arc-extinguishing material (4) inward when the cap electrode (5) is mounted at both ends of the outer tube (1). The density of the arc-extinguishing material (4) is prevented from lowering without using any adhesive like liquid glass, by fixing the arc-extinguishing material (4) in the inside cavity (2) and making the particles of the arc-extinguishing material (4) in close contact with each other by the pressure of the pressurizing piece (6).
