<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diazonium salt having the maximum absorption wavelength (λmax) exceeding 400 nm, and to provide a heat-sensitive recording material which has excellent storability and excellent photofixity with a light source having the maximum absorption wavelength exceeding 400 nm and whose ground skin is little colored. <P>SOLUTION: This diazonium salt represented by general formula (I) (R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently an alkyl or an aryl; R<SP>3</SP>is an alkoxy, an aryloxy, an alkylamino, an acylamino, or an arylcarbonylamino, which may further have one or more substituents; X- is an anion). The heat-sensitive recording material comprising a support and a heat-sensitive recording layer disposed on the support and comprising at least one diazonium salt compound and at least one coupler compound which reacts with the diazonium salt compound to develop a color is characterized in that the diazonium salt compound is the above-described diazonium salt compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
