PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zigzag sewing machine capable of a zigzag stitch without using the reciprocating movement of a sewing machine body. SOLUTION: The zigzag sewing machine is composed of a sewing machine table 11, the sewing machine body 5 and a traverse part 3. The sewing machine table 11 is composed of a main table 1 fixed at a horizontal position and applied to a belt sling 8 in a slidable contact state from a lower part and a feed part 2 applied to the belt sling 8 in a press contact state from the lower part to move the belt sling 8 in a left or right direction. The sewing machine body 5 is composed of a presser foot plate 6 fixed at the horizontal position and applied to the belt sling 8 in the slidable contact state from an upper part to clamp the belt sling 8 integrally with the main table 1 and a sewing needle 13 vertically moved to the belt sling 8 clamped by the main table 1 and the presser foot plate 6. The traverse part 3 is composed of a pair of guide parts 4 for clamping the belt sling 8 near the feed part 2 from a short hand direction and moving the belt sling 8 in a front or back direction.
