PURPOSE: A cell data flow control apparatus and its method are provided to control transmission flow of cell data information according to state information of a FIFO memory of each communication line. CONSTITUTION: In the device, A plurality of FIFO memories(120-1,...,120-n) store cell data to be transmitted to an external device. A plurality of FIFO controllers(130-1,...,130-n) are comprised in each FIFO memory, and output a cell count signal by counting the number of cell data stored in the corresponding FIFO memory, and outputs the first protocol signal and the second protocol signal selectively to a cell data processor unit by detecting a state signal indicating a data occupancy state. A plurality of cell counter(150-1,...,150-n) relay the cell count signal inputted from the corresponding FIFO controller. A FIFO selection part outputs a selection signal to select the FIFO memory part to read cell data on the basis of the cell count signal transferred from the cell count part. And a multiplexer part(110) reads cell data from the FIFO memory part by the selection signal, and transmits the read cell data to the external device.
