PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor with a variable resistor, which achieves the simplification of a constitution, much more reduction of a cost, saving of a space and the facilitation of the manufacturing of the same and whose PTC (paper tape control) element will not receive the interference of an ambient temperature. SOLUTION: The PTC element 24, changed into an insulating body by increasing the inherent resistance value of the same in accordance with temperature rise due to heat generating operation upon overcurrent or heating to limit a current delicately, is arranged while connecting the same in series electrically to a lead member 22 between a pair of lead members 22, 23 provided in a capacitor element 21.
