PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for performing an out-of-sequence recording process effectively in a nonvolatile memory system are provided which enable to use memory resource of the nonvolatile memory system efficiently and enable physical page of a physical block of the memory system to be recorded out-of-sequence. CONSTITUTION: A physical block(300) is divided into groups and its update is recorded out-of-sequence. The physical block includes a random number of pages. The physical block includes 16 pages(304a-304q) divided into 4 groups(308a-308d). Thus, each group starts by being separated by 4 pages from a prior group. A page(304a) of the first group(308a) in the block(300) includes a content(312) related with the first page of a logic block related with the block(300). The first group(308a) includes the fourth page(304d) including a content(314) related with the fourth page of the logic block.
