AUTOMATIC REGISTRATION METHOD OF SUBSCRIBER LINE TERMINATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a registration method for a subscriber line terminator for online automatizing with subscriber line terminator registration procedures as a series of procedures and preventing deterioration in the efficiency of a PON band caused by a ranging window required by registration. SOLUTION: In the registration method of a passive optical network system optical subscriber line terminator: the number of operational optical subscriber line terminators is set in an optical subscriber accommodating apparatus in advance in the registration of the optical subscriber line terminator in the passive optical network system, where the optical subscriber accommodating apparatus is connected to the optical subscriber line terminator; the serial number of the connected optical subscriber accommodating apparatus is acquired and registered between the optical subscriber accommodating apparatus and the optical subscriber line terminator before the ranging processing of the optical subscriber accommodating apparatus; the serial number is acquired and registered until the number of operational optical subscriber line terminators; and the message exchange of the optical subscriber accommodating apparatus and the optical subscriber line terminator is stopped.
