PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name resolution method that reduces a workload for member resolution without lowering the execution efficiency of processing even if inheritance relations among members are hierarchic, in a dynamically linked object-oriented program execution system. SOLUTION: In consideration of many resolutions of the same member for the same instance in the same instruction point due to locality of data reference, information on instances to be executed at member resolution is saved, and at a member resolution for the same instance as before, the saved information is used for the member resolution, so that computational complexity for member resolution is reduced.
