PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building unit and a method of manufacturing the building unit of excellent design, requiring no time to be manufactured while being able to cope with a north side slanting line limit. SOLUTION: This building unit 6 has a floor 61, a ceiling 62, a first gable 63, a second gable 64 and an inner gable 65. The first gable 63 has a pair of long columns 631 arranged parallel with each other. The second gable 64 has short columns 641 lower in height than the long columns 631. The inner gable 65 has intermediate columns 651 of the same height as the long column 631 of the first gable 63. The ceiling 62 has a first horizontal ceiling 66 and a second horizontal ceiling 67. The first horizontal ceiling 66 is disposed between the upper ends of the long columns 631 and intermediate columns 651 of the first gable 63 and inner gable 65, and the second horizontal ceiling 67 is disposed between the second gable 64 and inner gable 65.
