PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid pump capable of inhibiting intrusion of foreign matters such as casting sand, into a sealing portion between a motor chamber and a pump chamber. SOLUTION: In a water pump 10, a rotary shaft 22 protruding from the motor chamber 18 housing a motor 20 via a rotary shaft hole 24 is connected with an impeller 42 in the pump chamber 30, and the rotary shaft hole 24 communicating the motor chamber 18 with the pump chamber 30 is sealed by an oil seal 36 situated around the rotary shaft 22. In an oil seal 36 side of the impeller 42, a flinger portion 48 is integrally formed. When the flinger portion 48 is rotated together with the impeller 42, the casting sand mixed in engine cooling water is shaken off outward in the diametrical direction by the centrifugal force.
