PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile / printer composite machine that can easily open a confidential box upon a request from clients to allow the clients to easily utilize the confidential box and allows the user to easily use a printer and a facsimile machine of the composte machine separately by utilizing the confidential box. SOLUTION: The composite machine is provided with an HTTP (hyper text transport protocol) server function processing section and opens the confidential box by registering a user name of the confidential box, an IP (Internet protocol) address and a DNS (domain name system) name by means of the HTTP protocol via a WEB page. When the user uses a client to transmit print data, printing is carried out. When the user designates a facsimile transmission destination to the confidential box and transmits print data separately from the designation, the composite machine facsimiles the print data to the designated destination.
