PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for grasping gas remaining quantity in a gas vessel for storing gas as fuel accurately and at low cost. SOLUTION: A gas vessel 1 is divided into a plurality of cells 3a to 3e, to which branched pipes 5a to 5e branched from a pipe 5 are connected respectively, solenoid valves 6a to 6e are placed on the pipes 5a to 5e respectively, a pressure sensor is placed on the pipe 5, a memory device 13 is connected to an electronic control device 12 for controlling the solenoid valves 6a to 6e to supply and feed gas in each cell. The memory device 13 memorizes the full/empty status of each cell, and the remaining gas quantity in the cells in use is calculated from the formula of the cell internal pressure - gas remaining quantity stored in the memory device 13 and the gas remaining quantity in the gas vessel is obtained by adding the cells in full to the calculation. The gas remaining quantity in the gas vessel can be calculated easily and accurately by memorizing the open/close status of the opening/closing valves (solenoid valves) and the status (empty/full/remaining quantity) for each cell, which prevents an increase in weight and cost.
