PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display medium having satisfying properties of fast response, safety and hygiene, and stability of the picture quality, and to provide an image display apparatus using the image display medium at a low cost. SOLUTION: The display liquid for an electrophoretic display apparatus comprises at least one kind of chargeable fine particles and an electric insulating solvent. The chargeable fine particles comprise a resin and a coloring agent, and the resin contains a resin synthesized by using a metalocene catalyst. Thus, the fine particles hardly aggregating and having a fast electrophoretic velocity are used to prepare the display liquid for an electrophoretic display apparatus. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
