PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively stop a motor without applying excessive tension when a shutter, a blind, a roll screen or the like is wound to a limit winding position. SOLUTION: The overwind preventing device is composed of a position detecting means for detecting a moving position of an operated body 20, an overload detecting means 45 for detecting load torque applied to the motor 32 when the operated body 20 reaches the limit winding position, an overload setting means for setting set values of the overload torque in a plurality of prior positions of the operated body 20 to the limit winding position, and a motor control means for stopping the motor 32 when a loading torque detection value exceeds the set value of the overload torque.
