PROTON CONDUCTING POLYMER FILM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

A proton conducting polymer film which exhibits a product of a proton conductivity at 23~C and a methanol interruption coefficient for an aqueous methanol solution having a specific concentration at 25~C of a specific valu e or more; and a proton conducting polymer film which exhibits an ion exchange capacity of 0.3 milli-equivalent/g or more and has a crystalline phase. The proton conducting polymer film exhibits good proton conductivity, excellent mechanical properties and high methanol interrupting property, and thus is useful as an electrolyte for a solid polymer type and a direct alcohol type of fuel cell.
