<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new highly safe therapeutic agent for cutaneous ulcer. <P>SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for cutaneous ulcer comprises an extract of a root of Lithospermum Radix, preferably an extract with a hydrophilic solvent such as diethyl ether as an active ingredient. Preferably, the extract of the root of Lithospermum Radix is effectively used as an ointment-like external preparation comprising lauroyl sarcosine isopropyl as a base, is applied to a cutaneous ulcer part, which is then covered with a paper-like covering material such as a paper disk, and/or a fabric-like covering material such as Sukan Pooru tape (R) capable of absorbing leachate from the part and with a semi-permeable dressing material exemplified by Bioclusive (R). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
