PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment apparatus leaving little residue after treatment of waste. SOLUTION: This apparatus includes a three-phase arc-heating furnace 2 capable of heating up to 2,000°C or higher in order to gasify the waste. The heating furnace 2 is provided with fixed electrodes 23, 23, 24, 24, 25, 25, and heating units 27.
