PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new retort food capable of being retorted so as to impart the same F-value to two or more food materials requiring different temperature-raising times, and including the two or more different food materials requiring the different temperature-raising times in an integrated package; and to provide a new retorting method for retorting the two or more food materials requiring the different temperature-raising times so as to simultaneously attain nearly the same F-value. SOLUTION: A gas is included in the package of the food material requiring an earlier temperature-raising time to reduce the heating effects thereon when the food materials are retorted. As a result, the food materials requiring the different temperature-raising times are retorted so as to have nearly the same F-value. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
