PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition which can give a molding specifically improved in mechanical properties and bleedout resistance and having an excellent appearance and suited especially as a machine part, an electrical or electronic component, or an automotive part where its thin-wall part needs flame retardancy by compounding a polybutylene terephthalate resin with a nonhalogen flame retardant and to provide a molding prepared therefrom. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition is prepared by compounding 100pts.wt. (A) mixture comprising 99-1wt.% polybutylene terephthalate resin and 1-99wt.% polyethylene terephthalate resin with 1-100pts.wt. (B) polycarbonate resin, 1-70pts.wt. (C) phosphoric ester, 0-150pts.wt. (D) fibrous reinforcement, and 1-150pts.wt. (E) salt of a triazine compound with a cyanuric acid or isocynuric acid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
