PURPOSE: Provided is a method for making a high performance zeolite fertilizer having a fast release property and a controlled release property and an increased content of the fertilizer component by a simple process. CONSTITUTION: The method for making a zeolite fertilizer comprises the steps of: mixing zeolite having regular inside pores with a fertilizer component in the form of a neutral salt in the ratio of 1:0.3-3; heat treating the mixture at a temperature higher than the melting initiation temperature of the fertilizer component for 30 minutes or more to form slurry in which the fertilizer component is inserted into the zeolite pores; and cooling and molding the slurry.
