<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image conversion system which regulates the layout of pixels of input data in conversion on a conversion table, based on output data, thereby avoiding forming space portions in displaying data. <P>SOLUTION: The image conversion system is composed of a back camera connected to an image processor 13 and various types of sensors connected to the image processor 13 via a gateway unit. The image processor 13 stores a plurality of conversion tables in a conversion table memory 21 which relate ranges of a part of coordinate ranges of pixels forming data of images taken by the back camera with coordinate ranges of pixels forming the displaying data. The image processor 13 measures the distance of an object behind a vehicle, using an ultrasonic sensor, compares it with a comparing distance stored in a ROM 27, and, if the measured distance is not longer than the comparing distance, switches from one conversion table having a long part of the range to another conversion table having a short part to automatically enlarge an image to display. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
