PURPOSE: A method for displaying a sliding message in a portable wireless terminal is provided to display a vivid message on an LCD by displaying the message on the LCD of the portable wireless terminal to be capable of sliding the message. CONSTITUTION: If a message slide editing function setup request is inputted from a user(300), a control unit displays items corresponding to a message slide editing function on an LCD(302). The control unit sets a message sliding direction on the basis of the slide direction selection of the user(304,306). The control unit sets a message sliding speed on the basis of the slide speed selection of the user(308,310). The control unit sets a message sliding twinkle time and the number of message sliding twinkle on the basis of the twinkle editing time and number selection of the user(312,314).
