PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing porous filter media using aluminum alloy fiber is provided to improve air permeability of filtering filter substantially by improving a sintering method for sintering the aluminum alloy fiber by heating the aluminum alloy fiber after manufacturing aluminum alloy fiber in a web shape. CONSTITUTION: In a filter media manufacturing method comprising the steps of laying up the aluminum alloy fiber web in multilayer by inserting a releasing agent into a web formed of aluminum alloy fiber; making a vacuum or reductive atmosphere after putting the laid up web into a sintering furnace; sintering the web material; rolling and cooling the sintered web material; and manufacturing a porous aluminum alloy filter, the method for manufacturing porous filter media using aluminum alloy fiber is characterized in that the sintering step is performed by heating between aluminum alloy fibers of the web material so that the aluminum alloy fibers are heated to a temperature in which 1 to 50% of the aluminum alloy fibers is partially melted, wherein the method further comprises the step of performing anodizing treatment between the aluminum alloy fibers in order to increase corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy filter media.
