PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of effect due to route changes. SOLUTION: A route differing from an original one is calculated, the original route is stored when a destination is the same as the original route (S110-S130), and a virtual vehicle position is calculated by driving simulation on the original route (S140). Then, it is judged whether a virtual own vehicle mark lies off the screen of a display 37 or not according to relationship with the reduction rate of current display. When the mark lies off the screen, processes (S142-S144) for increasing the reduction rate by one step are repeated to automatically calculate the reduction rate for displaying, a map is displayed by the reduction rate of the display (S150), and the virtual own vehicle mark is displayed on the map (S150). As a result, the original route and virtual own vehicle mark are displayed on the map in addition to a current route and an own vehicle mark, thus informing the user of the effect due to route changes.
