PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a strength so as not to bring about a bulge or a crack at a bottom when a surface mount type coil obtained by using a lead frame is heated in a reflow or the like. SOLUTION: A through hole 8 is provided at a bottom 14 of a terminal block 6, obtained by integrally molding with the lead frame 1 and having a recess 7 for placing a toroidal core 9. Since air between the recess 7 and the core 9 exits from the hole 8, when sealing and molding by using a sealing polymer material 13, by adopting such a structure, bubbles are not retained in an interior, and the strength of the bottom is improved.
