PURPOSE: A file transfer system using a file transfer function of an instant messenger having the file transfer function and a file transfer method using the same are provided to make a receiver receive a file by storing the file in a file transfer server having a fixed Internet address and sending a mail including a download link for the stored file to the receiver. CONSTITUTION: The file transfer agent transfers the transferring file to the file transfer server by receiving the transferring file and a receiver mail address from a user through a protocol of the instant messenger. The file transfer agent writes the mail including the file download link for the file transferred from the file transfer server, and sends it to the mail address of the receiver. The file transfer server stores the file transferred from the file transfer agent in a storage and replies to the file transfer agent by generating the file download link. If the receiver requests the file download by clicking the file download link, the fine transfer server transfers the file to the storage of a user PC. |
