<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more easily confirm a communication state in a radio section in a radio access system. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal 14 of the radio access system 10 is provided with: a communication confirmation information detection section 30 which detects that information for confirming communication is included in a downward radio signal; and a response information generation section 32 which generates response information as a response to detection when a fact that the communication confirmation information is included is detected. The response information is embedded in an upward radio signal by a communication processing section 28 and returned to a base station device 12. The side of the base station device 12 is provided with: a response information detection section 24 which detects that the response information is included in the upward radio signal; and a communication state judgment section 26 which judges the communication state on the basis of the detected response information.
