A method for handling e-mail tasks within a HAVi system based home network (1) having a plurality of home network devices (2 to 4) is characterized by concentrating functionality needed by said home network devices (3, 4) and/or applications running said home network devices (3, 4) to send and/or receive and/or manage e-mails within an e-mail functional component module (7).
