摘要 PURPOSE: A high speed off-line charging system for a prepayment smart card is provided to automatically increase money left over of a prepayment smart card as a pre-stipulated charging amount of money in the case that money left over is insufficient in a payment process by linking the prepayment smart card with a bank account. CONSTITUTION: A user requests an automatic charging amount of money with respect to a bank account linked with a prepayment smart card and records related information in the prepayment smart card(101). If money left over of the prepayment smart card is insufficient in using the prepayment smart card(102), an automatic charging process is generated and automatic charging details are stored by a terminal(104). The automatic charging details stored in the terminal is loaded in a VAN(Value Added Network) company or a corresponding financial institution through an on-line or an off-line periodically(117). The automatic charging details loaded in the financial institution are verified, corresponding amount of money is subtracted from the corresponding account, an automatic charging permission list is created, and the automatic charging permission list is transmitted to the VAN company or the terminal. If an automatic charging flag of the prepayment smart card is disable, an automatic charging permission list of the terminal is searched. If a list corresponded to the automatic charging flag, a signature of the corresponding list is transmitted to the prepayment smart card, and the automatic charging flag is changed as an enable state.
