<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level shift circuit stably operable even in the case that a voltage of a low voltage power supply is lower than a usual voltage in comparison with the case of a high voltage power supply. <P>SOLUTION: When a signal with a low voltage signal level received at a signal input terminal 101 changes from aL level to a H level, a booster circuit 108 boosts an input voltage level given to an inverter circuit 103 to the low voltage signal level or over on the basis of an input signal change and a voltage of a capacitive element 113 charged via a diode element 112. Thus, the inverter circuit 103 is surely invert-operated and a signal output terminal 102 outputs a high voltage H level signal. Further, when the signal received by the signal input terminal 101 changes from an H level to an L level, the input to the inverter circuit 103 is directly brought down into the L level by an N channel transistor 10 connected to a ground level power supply.
