PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized image printer of a low cost for providing a drive source for conveying an ink sheet and a drive source for conveying a recording sheet by one motor in the printer for recording various information such as video information on the sheet. SOLUTION: The image printer comprises an idler gear 23 held at a rotatable idler lever 22 coaxially with a rotary shaft of a capstan driving gear 18, engaged with the gear 18, engaged with or released from a reel driving gear 21, and an idler lever 19 rotated in response to rotation of the gear 18 by a thrust urging spring 24 for urging the gear 18 to the lever 19 side. In this case, the driving force of the gear 18 is transmitted to and shut off from the gear 21 via the gear 23. |
