The method involves providing a display for representing information and defining a specification using a filter connected to the display. An index preferably using the filter is set (200) depending on the definable specification and information is selected (20) based on the index using a selection device connected to the display. Final output displays the selected information (500). An Independent claim is also included for a system for displaying selected information item.
