PURPOSE: A bioscrubber for spraying liquid phase microorganisms effective in removing stench, and a process for preventing clogging of biofilter and minimizing dead zone inside reactor by installing screw type mixing apparatus, thereby improving removal efficiency of volatile organic compounds and stench are provided. CONSTITUTION: The high efficiency apparatus for removing volatile organic compounds and stench comprises a pretreatment tank(10) for properly changing temperature of inflow gas(110) and removing dust from the inflow gas(110) so that the inflow gas is suitable for bioreaction; a bioscrubber(20) for humidity control, cleaning effect and biological treatment effect at the same time by cleaning the gas passing through the pretreatment tank using effective microorganisms; and a screw mixing type biofilter(30) for treating the gas passing through the bioscrubber(20) using a biofilter in such a way that removing efficiency of volatile organic compounds and stench is improved by installing a screw type mixer so that dead zone of the filter is removed, and concentration of microorganisms attached to media is uniformized, wherein photosynthetic bacteria is used as the effective microorganisms to improve removing efficiency of ammonia and some volatile organic compounds in the bioscrubber(20), wherein bacillus bacteria are used as the effective microorganisms to improve removing efficiency of hydrogen sulfide and some volatile organic compounds in the bioscrubber(20), wherein MLSS (mixed liquor suspended solids) of sewage disposal plant is used to improve removing efficiency of stench and volatile organic compounds in the bioscrubber(20), and wherein the screw type mixer is used to prevent clogging of the biofilter(30) and uniformize concentration of microorganisms.
